Slimepedia L's Extra Details Information[]

Diet[]

Will take literally anything. No, not the kind of literally anything a Surviving Slime would think of. Other Slimes and random rocks aren't on these slippery felines' list.

They will only produce plorts if fed Meat, Fish, Meat/Fish-containing Cooking, Milk and Mushbeef, though.

I don't know why Milk and Mushbeef are on the list, honestly. It's not even meat.

Favorite[]

Petrified Hen Pieces and Petrified Roostro Pieces. Both aren't the original Stony Hen, but taste rather similarly. I guess Prickles just like their daily dose of nostalgia.

Slime Toy[]

Old Yarn Ball. It might have been years, but they still love it.. And still have absolutely no clue on how to knit.

Slimeology[]

Prickly Slimes, once known as Tabby Slimes, are a feline slime species generally found around the Far, Far Range's various old structures (mostly consisting of old Ranches) in search of possible leftovers, somewhat-safe places to live in and just food in general. Generally, they will eat any food whatsoever, because you can't exactly afford to be picky in this stupidity of an environment... And because now they can actually eat things that aren't Meat due to evolving. Anything that isn't Meat or doesn't at least resemble it in some way will not make them produce Plorts, though.

They seem to favor pieces of Petrified Hens and Roostros, so if one is broken anywhere these guys can exist, expect one hell of a hungry swarm.

They generally tend to distrust other Slimes and Ranchers, and will try to hide, run away from (which works VERY good, due to the fact that their speed is equivalent to the speed of the former Gold Slime) or outright attack them. The only way to actually get one in your vacpack is to feed them, or set up any food group bait, wait for them to gather around it and be fast. Or break a Petrified Hen or Roostro. That, honestly, works even better than baits.

Rancher Risks[]

First of all, the obvious. Yep. They have spikes. Sharp spikes that hurt like hell. And they know that damn well, which leads to them actually using those spikes to attack prey, other slimes they see as threats and you specifically, because they don't like you. They can roll up into a fast, spiky ball as well, like former Rock and Crystal slimes. They can also bite things.

Prickly Slimes also have a tendency to grab non-Meat/Meat-resebmbling food and stash it somewhere. That has about the same risks as a regular former Tabby Slime dragging food around... Which is a bit more dangerous in the current Far, Far Range, mostly because those awful, ravenous rainbows got a serious upgrade.

Oh, and some really hungry and desperate Prickly Slimes also can and will sometimes form groups to ransack your ranch for food. The chance of them doing that is generally not very high, but will skyrocket like hell if you break a Petrified Hen or Roostro on the ranch. Breaking several will basically guarantee you instant death. That is, unless you have, like, an Anu slime companion around your ranch. Those guys instantly make any Prickly Slimes think qpproximately a hundred times before attacking your ranch, and ultimately deciding that it's not worth it. Still, don't break Petrified Hens and Roostros out of corrals. It's a really bad idea.

Appearance[]

i physically cannot. uh i guess its kinda like a tabby slime but it has different stripes, darker colours and also spikes all over its body. oh and they have different eyes.

Tips[]

  • own an Adaptable Anu Slime. Before you get one, just don't get into the whole petrified chickens business. Please don't.

Secret Style[]

Prickly Slimes' secret style is called A Softer Alternative. Turns them into fluffy, light beige versions of the original. They still have all their abilities, though.

Description[]

Because sometimes being fluffy is a better option.

Location[]

in one of the deserted reef hideouts.

Trivia[]

  • prickly slimes are actually a really old concept i made 6000 years ago back when i was like 9 or so. they were planned to just be weird tabby slime-looking pests that spawn on the ranch along with mouse slimes. their favourite was milk and they had a spool of thread as a toy oh and they were actually named prickly tabby slimes. then i was staring at the ASHR page today (25.03.23) and just thought "hey thatd actually fit with the whole concept" and that's how the modern prickly slimes were born.
    • prickly slimes can actually produce plorts if they eat milk as a reference to that
  • tabs
  • did you know that prickly slimes are, functionality-wise, ASHR's actual pink slime replacement? bet you didn't.
